Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be greeted by your safari driver-guide. Following a briefing about the safari, you will be transferred to your hotel.

After check- in, enjoy your day at leisure.

Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve

Start your day with breakfast at the city hotel before setting out for Masai Mara Game Reserve, traversing the scenic route along the bottom of the Rift Valley. Often referred to as the jewel in Africa's crown, Masai Mara boasts a spectacular variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, various gazelle species, and zebras. While cheetahs, leopards, and rhinos are rare, sightings of these elusive creatures are still possible. The Mara offers a dynamic game viewing experience, where patience is frequently rewarded with unique sightings, such as a pride of lions stealthily stalking their prey, a solitary leopard retrieving its kill from the lofty branches of an acacia tree, a male wildebeest engaging in sparring matches to attract females, and a herd of elephants fiercely protecting their young from opportunistic predators.

Afterward, we'll proceed to our camp for a late lunch. This afternoon, indulge in a drive through this remarkable game area before returning to camp for dinner later in the evening.

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a full-day game drive with picnic lunch boxes. Alternatively, you can opt for morning and afternoon game drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve, with a break for lunch between the drives. The Mara serves as the northern extension of the Serengeti, featuring expansive rolling plains that house numerous plains game species, along with predators preying upon them.

Optional Masai Mara Balloon Ride:

For those opting for the balloon safari, the early morning adventure begins with the Balloon Company picking you up at the hotel at 5:30 am. You'll then be driven to the balloon launch site, where you'll gather for takeoff. Experience the thrill of early morning ballooning over the plains, enjoying a bird's eye view of the wildlife below as the sun gradually rises on the horizon. After approximately one hour in the air, the balloon gracefully lands while a delightful breakfast is being prepared nearby. The enticing aroma of bacon, sausages, and eggs wafts through the air as you savor exotic Kenyan fruits and homemade pastries. If you wish, you can also raise a glass of bubbly to toast our flight, a tradition inspired by the Montgolfier brothers.

Day 4:  Masai Mara Game Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park

Start your day with breakfast at the lodge before setting off for Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, embark on a game drive in this renowned destination, known for its population of pink flamingos. The lake, situated in Kenya's Rift Valley, is a shallow alkaline expanse covering approximately 62 km2.

Lake Nakuru National Park: Established in 1961 and gazette in 1968 as a National Park, the park has Kenya’s largest population of rhinos. The park is home to Lion Hills, Makalia waterfalls, unique vegetation, Picturesque landscape, yellow acacia woodlands and a wide range of birds most famous being Flamingoes and Pelicans. Located in the Great Rift Valley Lake System, the park is also as an ecologically significant region having been named a RAMSAR Site and Important Bird Area. Covering 73 square miles (188 square kilometers), Lake Nakuru is world famous for flamingos, and was created a National Park to protect, its stunning flocks of lesser flamingo which literally turn its shores pink. These are the millions of flamingoes seeking their food in the salty deep-green waters of Lake Nakuru.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park - Nairobi to Mombasa by train

Indulge in an early morning breakfast at the hotel, followed by a captivating game drive in the park before departing for Nairobi. Alternatively, you can choose to fly directly from Nairobi to Mombasa for an additional cost.

Upon reaching Nairobi, transfer to the train station for your designated train journey to Mombasa. Alternatively, if time permits, we can make a brief stopover for lunch at a city restaurant (personal arrangements and payment directly). Following lunch, proceed to the train station in preparation for your afternoon train to Mombasa. Upon arrival at the Mombasa train station, our representative will be there to greet you and facilitate your transfer to your beachfront hotel.
