Explore the Corniche, the lively fish market, and Muttrah Souk with its maze of alleys and stalls filled with frankincense, textiles, jewellery, and traditional Omani scents. Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum to see one of the country’s best collections of antiques, weapons, costumes, and cultural exhibits.

Walk through Old Muscat, framed by the historic Jalali and Mirani forts, and stop for photos at Al Alam Palace. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Shatti Al Qurum Beach for some downtime.

Return to the hotel and unwind for the evening.

After breakfast, head toward the Dakhiliyah region. Start with Jabrin Castle, known for its elegant Islamic architecture, painted ceilings, and carved woodwork. Continue to Bahla for a photo stop at its UNESCO-listed fort and the ancient town walls.

Drive up to the mountain village of Misfah, a beautiful mix of stone houses, terraces, and the traditional falaj irrigation system. Enjoy a traditional Omani lunch before visiting Al Hamra and Bait Al Safa, a restored historic home that now functions as a cultural museum.

Continue to Nizwa, once Oman’s capital, to explore the 17th-century fort and lively souk famed for silver and copper crafts.

From Birkat Al Mauz, switch to 4x4 vehicles for the ascent to Jabal Akhdar. This “Green Mountain,” set 2,000 metres above sea level, offers dramatic canyons, terraced orchards, and rose gardens. On arrival, check in to your hotel.

After breakfast, set off by 4x4 to explore Jabal Akhdar. Walk through terraced farms and along the falaj channels, taking in sweeping mountain views and a glimpse of daily life in this remote region. Visit the villages of Saiq, Wadi Bani Habib, and Al Ain, each perched above dramatic gorges and valleys.

Descend the mountain and switch to your coach. Stop at Birkat Al Mauz, a lush oasis of date palms and banana plantations, and see its traditional falaj system. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing toward the desert.

At Bidiya, change back to 4x4s and enter Wahiba Sands. The towering dunes, shifting colours, and surprising wildlife make this one of Oman’s most captivating landscapes. Experience dune bashing with skilled drivers and then settle into a Bedouin-style camp, where you’ll be warmly welcomed for the evening.

After breakfast at the campsite, drive to Bidiya, switch to your coach, and continue toward Wadi Bani Khalid. This lush valley, framed by rugged mountains, offers striking views and plenty of time to explore its pools and surrounding paths on foot.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Sur, a historic port town known for its old quarters and traditional dhow shipyards. After a short tour, follow the coastal road past cliffs and small fishing villages until you reach Ras Al Hadd for the night.

In the evening, visit Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, where you may witness turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs—a rare and unforgettable experience.

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Muscat along one of the most dramatic stretches of Oman’s coastline. Your first stop is Wadi Shab, known for its turquoise pools and towering cliffs—one of the country’s most beloved natural spots.

Continue to Wadi Tiwi, a lush valley hidden among palm groves, with narrow winding roads and a rugged, untouched feel. A packed lunch will be provided en route.

Carry on to the famous Sinkhole, a natural limestone crater filled with clear seawater. After the visit, drive onward to Muscat for your return.
